Senior Game Designer

Our client, Pixel United, is looking for a Senior Game Designer to join their new studio in Helsinki, Northern Stars, and be part of an exciting new mobile game.

Having a deep understanding of the mobile core gameplay design and proven experiences on mobile game products, the Senior Game Designer is uniquely qualified to understand the fundamentals of the core gameplay designs and methodologies on how to deliver fun and exciting game designs that drive successful F2P mobile game products.

For which tasks (responsibilities)?

You will lead the major design scope of the core gameplay and be responsible for delivering a fun and exciting experience to the target audience, making them happy to continue playing the game product indefinitely:

• Lead core gameplay and features design for the new F2P mobile product

• Provide the directions, specifications, implementation details to the team

• Deliver the top quality F2P mobile core game and gameplay features design

• Responsible for the players’ key emotions - fun & excitement

• Hands-on game features prototyping, and managing all the implementation in the tools. Being in charge of numbers & balance for the designer stats

• Influence the craftsmanship and mindset of the team and peer departments, and work with Creative Director to plan how to keep the creative innovation every day

• Be the main facilitator of the core gameplay and deliver the core fun to the game.

What kind of professional are we looking for?

• 5+ years of experience in game design

• Experience delivering highly successful mobile F2P game products - at least 2 released titles where you worked on full production cycle

• Exceptional skills and capabilities in delivering the core gameplay

• Experience in developing and maintaining F2P mobile game service

• Capable of hands-on design implementations and highly proactive in driving the game design missions and goals

• Good knowledge of agile/scrum development methodology

• Solid leadership to encourage the team & colleagues.

Good to have:

• Technical design implementation experience

• Skills in C# scripting.
